Megan will be able to answer questions regarding diagnosis and treatment of speech and language disorders. Other specific questions can be answered as well. However, if your questions involve insurance, billing, or scheduling, please contact the front office staff instead.
As open dialogue is the key to effective improvements in a child’s speech and language skills, we offer parents and professionals the opportunity to ask questions to Megan McCann, M.A., CCC-SLP who is the Clinical Director of Lucid Speech & Language. Students may also desire to e-mail if they have questions or need to obtain observation hours in the area of Speech Language Pathology.
Based on your child’s initial evaluation it will be determined if they are comprehending and using language adequately based on their chronological age. This will be done based on standardized measures, clinical observations and parent report. It is important that parents share all of their child’s medical and developmental history information with the assessing Speech Language Pathologist so that the most appropriate conclusion can be reached.
